Where do I go to download MME for MikuMikuDance? How do I install MikuMikuEffects in MikuMikuDance? LearnMMD MME Tutorials. Where can I get MME?
Download and Install MME MikiMikuEffects
To install MME, you first have to download MME. DOWNLOAD MMEffects (MME Effects) with English Instructions from the LearnMMD Downloads page!
Be sure that you get the MME that matches your MMD… The 64-bit MMD requires the 64-bit MME… and the regular MMD (32-bit) requires the regular MME.
After the download is complete, unzip the file. You will need the latest DirectX version of MMD for this, version 7.39 or higher. Make sure you have the MMD folder unzipped before you start the process. Go into your new MME folder and drag d3d9.dll, MMEffect.dll, and MMHack.dll into the main MMD folder. They just need to be in the same folder as the MikuMikuDance.exe. That MMD folder also contains DATA and USER folders.
Now open MMD. Look in the top right corner of the toolbar. Do you see MMEffect there? If you do, you have successfully installed MME! Congratulations!
Now you are ready to add some Effects to MikuMikuDance!

I put in everything in the folder, restarted my computer to see if MME would load yet, but it hasn’t put the option in the corner. I have been looking and looking and looking for the button buts it isn’t there. Can someone please help me out with this?
Have you installed additional required software?

I can’t seem to get MME working with the new version… every time I install it, MMD won’t open. But as soon as I remove the three .dll, MMD works fine. Does anybody know how to fix this?
By the “new version”, do you mean that you had successfully worked with some earlier version before?
Are you sure you have all the necessary software?
on my older version (on my other computer) it worked fine with MME.
Currently without MME, MMD works fine. But when I install MME, MMD won’t open
It doesn’t give me any errors or anything. It just doesn’t open.
First, there are 32 and 64-bit versions of MMD and MME both. You must have those versions to match, otherwise MME won’t work. Second, do you have that additional software installed on your new computer? Do not rely on your memory; go and check.
I’ve tried both versions, with their proper counterpart, but no luck. As for the second thing, what software are you talking about? Like the DirectX and C++ stuff? Because I tried those as well.
Same, I’ve tried everything and I still can’t get it to work.
There’s an error popping up telling me to check the compatibility of my video card when I open MMD with the MME files in the right place. Is this the result of the relatively recent MMD update or is my computer being a rebellious teenager again?
Did it “used to work” for you and now it is not? … that could be the result of a recent Windows update.
im having the same problem, how do you fix it ;^;
With mme effect x86 + mmd x86, you can use mme effect in win 10 x86+x64.
x86 is enough because you never use over 4GB ram for mmd, you can use mmd x86 to render 4k 60fps video and output video size can >4GB
Please update mme to support win10. I can’t see mme tab on my lasted version of mmd!
MME will run fine on Windows 10… just gotta be sure to match the 32-bit MMD with 32-bit MME or use the 64-bit for both if you are running 64-bit.
I have MMD ver 9.26. I downloaded and dragged the .dll files like you instructed. However, I don’t see the MMEffect tab when I opened. I tried reinstalling MMD and dragging the .dll files before I open it but I STILL don’t see the MMEffect. Are you sure this works? .-.
hay i have the late is version of mmd and i cant use mme for some reson
You may have a 32-bit VS 64-bit problem… be sure you use the same for both MMD and MME.
It didn’t work.
I put the files in exactly as you said, closed MMD, reopened it, and it’s not there. I’m on the latest version of MMD I don’t know why it’s not working but I really wanna use some effects.
It simply “must” work XD … You unzip your MME Zip folder. Drag each of the three DLL files into the same folder that holds your MikuMikuDance.exe file … and … it works. See this article …
please um it tells me:404 – Sorry! The Page is Not Found
uh what is this :((
THANK YOU … there was a code error pointing to the wrong page … now is FIXED. It’s been incorrect for weeks … Thank you for pointing it out!
Umm I can’t download the MME for some reason it says 404 – Sorry! The Page is Not Found please help
FIXED it … thanks for telling me!
It didn’t work for me! I have MMD v803! Why does it not work?
Hmmm … it should have wroked! MME is simple to install … just drop the three DLL files into the same folder that the MikuMikuDance.exe is in … you should be good to go. Have you tried it with other versions of MMD?
And adding to the above question, does it work with English version of MMD? With 64-bit version of MMD? I tried to install MME as described, but did not get the “success” effect as in your picture.
Does this work for MMD Version 8.03?
whether the MME can’t use in MikuMikuDance 5.24? :'( Because the d3d9.dll is missing from my computer….
Level 5.24?? … The Missing DLL file would indicate it needs the DirectX version of MMD 7.39. Get it from our Downloads page … and if you need to update to DirectX 9 … that update is there, too??
