That’s ELEVEN YEARS AGO, as of this writing. As computers have evolved and Windows has been updated, the creators of MikuMikuDance have made updates, too! The current, latest version of MikuMikuDance is MMD 9.32 … and the 64-bit version: MMD 9.32×64
MikuMikuDance runs great on modern Windows PC computers… you need a strong graphics card (at least a 1 GB cache) and a mouse. … and, being “older”, MMD also requires that you add a couple of older “C++ runtimes” to your computer as well as the older DirectX 9c “update”. … See our main Troubleshooting page for more info.

LearnMMD.com downloads the latest versions of MikuMikuDance from the VPVP page… the original homepage of MikuMikuDance… and makes it available to you from our LearnMMD Downloads page. If you visit the VPVP page, you will see that the latest version of MMD is in section 1.3 and the 64-bit version is in section 1.4. The other material on that page has not been updated in quite a long time.

You have to START from the beginning. When I started to learn MMD back in 2011, there were almost no instructions available: just notes being traded by other beginners.
