Good news for MMDers everywhere! On September 24th, the first announcement for the 2013 Momi Cup was posted on YouTube. The 2013 Momi Cup is an international YouTube based celebration/festival/contest for MMD users. The festival is open to all levels of MMDer from newbie to advanced user.
This third Momi Cup is different because there is an online poll for the festival dates. From September 24, 2012 to November 5, 2012, you can vote for the contest dates by leaving a comment at the Official MOMI Cup YouTube Channel:

The winning contest date will be posted on that same YouTube channel. The festival’s rules and judging criteria are also posted. Contestants do not have to subscribe to the Official MOMI Cup YouTube Channel in order to enter the Cup. Although it would be a good idea if you want to keep updated for any important updates and related information. You can place your Momi Cup entry as a video response to the announcement.
Another difference in this Momi Cup is that, there is a file that contestants can download. This file contains three motion data files (.vmd); 18 Vocaloid Pose Data (vpd) and a text document stating that Vocaloid Sequence motion data (vsq) are allowed. Entrants may use all, some, or none of these data files in their upload (just remember to credit appropriately as you always should).
Even if you are a newbie, I fully encourage you to enter. Sometimes having a goal can motivate you and by just entering you have created something. When you think about it, those of us who are learning and using MikuMikuDance are doing something most people just dream about. We are ANIMATING! That’s a winner in my book.
